The University of Kelaniya will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the above posts up to 16^th October 2023.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Lecturer (Probationary):

• A Sc./Bachelor of Information Technology/B.A. Honours Degree with specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia with First or Second Class (Upper Division)

OR

• A Sc./Bachelor of Information Technology/B.A. Honours Degree with specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia with Second Class (Lower Division)

OR

• (a) A Sc./Bachelor of Information Technology/B.A. Degree with specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia without honours or any other Degree with at least Second Class,

and

(b)  A Doctoral Degree in the relevant field *

       Or

A Master’s Degree in the relevant field *with full time research of at least 24 months duration

* Relevant fields include Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Multimedia, Game Programming, Web Development, Human Computer Interaction. 

Lecturer:

• Candidates who apply for above post should possess academic qualifications required for Lecturer (Probationary).

AND

A Doctoral Degree in the relevant field*

• or

A Master’s Degree in the relevant field * with full-time research of at least 24 months duration

AND

• Less than (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:

1. Teaching at the University Level,
2. Professional experience,

• Research in a recognized Institution,

1. Postgraduate Studies to acquire the qualifications stipulated at (2) above.

* Relevant fields include Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Multimedia, Game Programming, Web Development, and Human-Computer Interaction.  

2. SALARY OF THE APPOINTMENT:

Salary: Lecturer: Rs. 168,529.80 p.m.

Lecturer (Probationary) : Rs. 125,190.00 p.m.
